On this image, the statue face is really looks like Aljur Abrenica. The wooden statue was originally sculpted by Mulawin Abueva. According to Aljur, he has no time to pose for the said statue so he just sent his picture to the sculptor. And he really praised the great carbon-copy of himself to the said statue!It was previously planned that Aljur will have a long hair as he portrays the character of "Machete". But to make a difference from the previous two movie versions, they decided to make the hair of our new generation "Machete" short! That's why on the pilot episode, we saw that "Machete" is cutting his long hair!
"Machete" made a successful pilot episode on TV last Monday. Viewers really appreciated the story and the hunk actor Aljur Abrenica for playing the newest "Machete"! So far, the plot of the story runs so good!
