It seems a coincidence that the original Amor Powers and Madam Claudia of the original version of "Pangako Sa'yo" made a grand reunion in GMA-7's hit afternoon series "The Half Sisters." Yes, Eula Valdez who is better know as Amor Powers already joined the cast of the said drama series reuniting her with Madam Claudia, Jean Garcia.
Unlike in their previous characters in ABS-CBN's "Pangako Sa'yo," this time in "The Half Sisters," their roles were reversed - Eula is now a villain playing kontrabida to Jean who is in a lead role in the teleserye.
Eula is playing the character of a wicked Ysabel, the wife of the other character of Jomari Yllana. Jean on the other hand is Rina, the kindhearted mother of the twin sister characters of Barbie Forteza and Thea Tolentino.
Now that "Pangako Sa'yo" is a trending topic and the current talk of the town since ABS-CBN will finally launch this May their much-awaited remake starring Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla with Jodi Sta. Maria and Angelica Panganiban reprising the characters of Amor Powers and Madam Claudia, is it intentional that GMA put the character of Eula in their TV series to divert the attention of the viewers?!
