After the Controversial Gay Episode with Joem Bascon, Carlo Aquino Returns to 'MMK!'




ABS-CBN's premiere drama anthology "Maalaala Mo Kaya" recently ruled weekend primetime TV as its heavy drama episode last Saturday (July 13) that starred singer-actress Angeline Quinto became the no.1 overall weekend show with its whopping 36.5% national TV ratings.

Based on the data from Kantar Media, the Mae Czarina Cruz-directed "MMK" episode was 11 points higher than the 20% earned by its rival drama anthology in GMA "Magpakailanman." In the story, Angeline portrayed Ellah, a hardworking daughter who would do everything to support her family, including working as a clown.

Meanwhile, "MMK" will share another top caliber family drama episode to TV viewers this Saturday (July 20), featuring former best child performers, namely Carlo Aquino and Lester Llansang. The two will play the role of identical twins Fred (Carlo) and Freddie (Lester), who will both be maltreated and abused in the ships where they work as fishermen.

Together with Carlo and Lester in theri upcoming "MMK" episode are Bembol Roco, Ma. Isabelle Lopez, Neri Naig, Bryan Homecillo, Ruben Gonzaga, Lowell Conales and DJ Durano. It was researched by Alexandra Mae Martin, written by Arah Jell Badayos, and directed by Nuel Naval.
