Meet the Casts of the Newest Thriller TV Series "The InBetween"

HARRIET DYER as Cassie Bedford

Harriet Dyer stars as Cassie Bedford in Blue Ant Entertainment’s new paranormal drama, “The InBetween.”

Dyer has worked extensively in her native Australia in film, television and theater, earning numerous awards and accolades. Her performance in the critically acclaimed drama series “Love Child” earned her both a 2016 Logie Award nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress and two 2015 Logie Award nominations – the Graham Kennedy Award for Outstanding Newcomer and Most Popular New Talent.

Dyer’s film work includes “Killing Ground,” which premiered at the Melbourne International Film Festival in 2016, and “Down Under,” which premiered at the Sydney Film Festival. She also starred in the feature film “Ruben Guthrie,” which opened the 2015 Sydney Film Festival.

Television credits include several Australian series, including “Hyde and Seek,” “Black Comedy,” “Rake,” “No Activity,” “Janet King,”  “A Moody Christmas,” “Micro Nation” and “Packed to the Rafters.”

Dyer has worked extensively on the stage in Australia. She received the Sydney Theatre Award for Best Performance in a Leading Role for “Machinal” with the Sydney Theatre Company and was nominated for the same award for her role in “The School for Wives” with the Bell Shakespeare Company.


Paul Blackthorne stars as Tom Hackett in Blue Ant Entertainment’s new paranormal drama “The InBetween.”

The British-born actor, director, producer and philanthropist most recently starred as Capt. Quentin Lance in the hit series “Arrow.” He is also well known for his starring role as Harry Dresden in “The Dresden Files.”

Early in his career, Blackthorne starred in the Oscar-nominated film “Lagaan” as the villainous Capt. Russell. During the film’s 2002 Los Angeles-based Oscar campaign, he landed his first American television role in the John Wells hospital drama “Presideo Med.” Blackthorne also portrayed Stephen Saunders in season three of “24” and starred in “Lipstick Jungle,” opposite Brooke Shields.

Other U.S. TV work includes “Deadwood,” “ER,” “Necessary Roughness,” “Monk,” “Burn Notice,” “CSI,” “CSI Miami,” “Medium” and the Steven Spielberg-produced paranormal thriller “The River.” Film credits include “Dumb and Dumber to,” “Four Corners of Suburbia,” “Special,” “A Christmas Carol” and “Daisy Winters.”

Blackthorne’s 2013 directorial debut, “This American Journey,” follows him as he travels across America in the wake of the 2008 economic crash interviewing Americans about the state of the country and their hopes for its future.

Blackthorne teamed up with Arsenal and Wales soccer player Aaron Ramsey in 2016 to launch the “Save the Rhino Vietnam” T-shirt campaign. All proceeds from this campaign were donated to Save the Rhino International.

Blackthorne is an accomplished photographer. His first photo exhibition, “Fish Heads and Other Things,” took place in London in 2000 and raised money for Greenpeace. This was followed by “Bollywood Backpack” in 2002, which raised money for the Gujarat Indian earthquake victims. His next exhibition, “Delhi to Manhattan,” was presented at Tibet House in New York in 2009. This chronicled his trek through the Himalayan Tibetan communities of India and his meeting with His Holiness The Dalai Lama in Dharmsala. Proceeds from this exhibition were donated to the Tibetan children’s villages of Dharamsala.

Blackthorne was born in Shropshire, England in 1969. His acting career began at 12 at the Edinburgh Festival and London West End with the National Youth Music Theater. Blackthorne studied the Spiritual Psychology of Acting in London from 1996-98 with acclaimed teacher John Osborne-Hughes.

JUSTIN CORNWELL as Damien Asante

Justin Cornwell stars as Damian Asante in Blue Ant Entertainment’s new paranormal drama “The InBetween.”

Cornwell recently appeared in the TNT series “I Am the Night.” He also co-starred in the TV series “Training Day” and the feature film “We Are Boats.” Additional roles include “Empire” and “Chicago P.D,” among others.

Cornwell studied theater at the University of Louisville and began his professional acting career at the Chicago Shakespeare Theater.

In addition to acting, Cornwell is also an avid singer, rapper and songwriter.

ANNE-MARIE JOHNSON as Lieutenant Elizabeth Swanstrom

Anne-Marie Johnson plays Lt. Swanstrom on Blue Ant Entertainment’s new paranormal drama “The InBetween.”

A Los Angeles native and UCLA graduate, Johnson enjoys a very busy career that includes work on television and film. Johnson starred in several successful series, including “In the Heat of the Night,” “What’s Happening Now,” “In Living Color” and “Melrose Place,” among others. For five seasons, she portrayed Congresswoman Bobbie Latham on the hit military drama “JAG,” followed with a role as Sharon Upton Farley on the hit comedy “Girlfriends.”

Johnson also starred as Donna Cabonna on the hit series “That’s So Raven” and had a recurring role on Tyler Perry’s hit comedy “House of Payne.”

More recently Johnson guest-starred in multiple hit shows, including “Leverage,” “Fairly
Legal,” “NCIS,” “Bones,” “Murder in the First,” “Chasing Life,” “Pretty Little Liars,” “Children’s Hospital,” “Castle,” “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Reverie,” and had recurring roles on “Days of Our
Lives,” “NCIS: LA,” “Wet Hot American Summer,” “Ten Years Later” and “Imposters.” She also enjoyed a recurring role on the drama series “For the People” as Sen. Melora Knox.

Johnson’s feature credits include “Hollywood Shuffle,” “Strictly Business,” “I’m Gonna Git U Sucka,” “Robot Jox,” “True Identity,” “Down in the Delta,” “Pursuit of Happiness,” “L.A. Riots,” “Spectacular,” “About Fifty” and “Sister Code.”

Johnson represented the Screen Actors Guild as a national board member and four-term vice president from 1997-2013. She was recently honored with the prestigious 2016 Ralph
Morgan Award, which is SAG-AFTRA Los Angeles’ highest honor.

Extremely active in her community and with law enforcement efforts, Johnson has worked with the LAPD since 2015 to create, co-produce and direct a series of public service announcements. She has served as Mistress of Ceremonies for the LAWPOA Symposium for several years. She was also recently honored with the Southern Christian Leadership Conference Rosa Parks Award and was named the 2017 Silver Lake Woman of the Year by Congressman Adam Schiff.

Johnson was recently reelected to an at-large board seat and named co-chair of the governing board for her Neighborhood Council.

CINDY LUNA as Detective Maria Salinas

Cindy Luna stars as Det. Maria Salinas in Blue Ant Entertainment’s new paranormal drama “The InBetween.”

Born in Miami, Luna is a first-generation American with strong ties to her Columbian heritage. She began modeling in her early teens and eventually transitioned to an acting career in television. Her first major role came with Telemundo’s “Mas Sabe El Diablo.”

Additional television credits include “NCIS: LA,” “Castle,” “Once Upon a Time” and “Gang Related,” as well as “The Bold and the Beautiful.”

She also enjoyed recurring roles in “Still the King” and “The Last Ship.”

Luna is strongly committed to her family values and is involved with women’s support groups, particularly those that help women involved in drug trafficking.


Chad James Buchanan stars as Will Gallagher in Blue Ant Entertainment’s new paranormal drama “The InBetween.”

Buchanan previously enjoyed a recurring role on the Marvel series “The Inhumans.” He also appeared as a series regular on Lee Daniels’ “Star.”
