Rival TV anchors of the rival networks reunited in one of the most important event in Vatican City. TV Patrol's Korina Sanchez and 24 Oras's Mel Tiangco were together in a photo courtesy of Francis Albert Gomez.
The two broadcasters of ABS-CBN and GMA-7 were covering the Canonization rites of John Paul II and Pope John XXIII in the holy city.
We may recall that Korina and Mel were both part before of TV Patrol. Korina started as Mel's assistant in the said longest running news program in Philippine television. But when Mel transferred to the Kapuso network, Korina then started to rise as a news anchor leveling up to Mel's. The two then became rival due to network wars. Now it's good to see them together after many years!
