JC De Vera is Kapamilya Network's "Captain Barbell?!"

How true that the hunk actor JC De Vera moved to ABS-CBN from TV5 because the network offers him the role of "Captain Barbell"?!

We may recall that before JC's contract expired in GMA-7, rumors said that the Kapamilya network expressed their interest to the actor. But during that time, there was no great role that will fit the actor therefore, he preferred to choose TV5 instead.

Now that ABS-CBN acquired the rights to air 13 of Mars Ravelos' masterpieces including "Darna" and "Captain Barbell", the said famous superhero role popularized by Richard Gutierrez in the Kapuso's TV series was offer to the actor that's why he inked contract with them.

Recently, JC announced that he will join Angel Locsin, Jericho Rosales, and Maja Salvador in their upcoming TV series. This drama series which is said to air next year will be JC's first teleserye in the Kapamilya. But after this, he will transform and fly as Captain Barbell as his big break in the network.
