"Pasion De Amor" Heats Up the Primetime Rating Game and Beats the Rival on Pilot Telecast

The highly anticipated remake of worldwide telenovela sensation "Pasion De Amor" started heating up the primetime ratings game and instantly dominated its time slot on its premiere telecast last Monday (June 1).

ABS-CBN's newest offering hit a national TV rating of 20.7% or more than double that of its rival program "My Mother's Secret" with only 7.8%.

The show's official hashtag #PDAPamilyaSamonte was also among the top nationwide trending topics on Twitter on the same night.

Viewers watched how the Samonte siblings struggled to survive without a mother and a father to raise them.

Despite being orphans at an early age, the Samontes grew up close and with nothing but love in their hearts.

By the end of the week, the brutal death of Lyvia (Ingrid Dela Paz) will finally happen and will trigger her brothers Juan (Jake Cuenca), Oscar (Ejay Falcon) and Franco (Joseph Marco) seek revenge on the Elizondos by making Bernardo (Ronaldo Valdez) and Gabriela's (Teresa Loyzaga) daughters Norma (Arci Munoz), Sari (Ellen Adarna) and Jamie (Coleen Garcia) fall in love with them.
