The Superstar and the National Artist for Film and Broadcasting Ms. Nora Aunor will have a great big screen comeback via the upcoming film 'PIETA!'
What more exciting about this film is that the superstar will play a very challenging role - she's a blind mother Rebecca suffering from Alzheimer's and can't recognize her own son!
Joining the superstar on the movie is the versatile actor-councilor Alfred Vargas and the multi-awarded actress and director Ms. Gina Alajar. Alfred will be playing the character of Isaac, the son of Rebecca who was just released from prison because of wrongfully accused for the killing of his father. Gina on the other hand is Beth, the loyal friend of Rebecca who is taking care of her but seems hiding the 'truth.'
Inline with this exciting movie, a story con had been held, Saturday afternoon of February 4, 2023 at the Victorino's restaurant in Quezon City. The event was attended by the three lead cast, the movie director, members of the media and selected bloggers and content creators.
During the said story conference, the cast and director shared exciting facts about the making and conceptualization of the movie. The internationally-acclaimed filmmaker Adolfo Alix Jr. who is handling the film revealed why they were chosen Nora, Alfred, and Gina to play the lead characters. He further unveiled why he titled the movie 'PIETA' but he clarified that this is not a remake of the classic film of the same title nor the series aired before on TV.
It is also great to know that this movie serves as the reunion project of Nora and Gina after 33 years! These two great actresses worked in their last film together called 'Andrea, Paano Ba Ang Maging Isang Ina?'
On the story con, Nora and Gina who are now 'magkumare' shared their learning from one another not only in terms of acting but also in life experiences. And being the veteran actresses of Philippine entertainment, the two gave tips and advice to the newbies in showbiz!

Also during the story con, Alfred expressed his feelings and gratitude working with the veteran actresses Nora and Gina. According to him, it was a dream of many Filipino actors to work with the legends specially with the superstar! He further shared the learning and advise he got from these two.
