After airing for 2 weeks in the Indonesian TV channel which is the ANTV, the ABS-CBN fantasy series 'Darna' is cancelled! According to the news, it was stopped being aired in the ANTV, a free channel in the said country because some of its scenes are inappropriate for their culture and regulations.
Prior to the airing of the series in Indonesia, Darna’s chest was covered when its official poster was released and shared on ANTV’s official Instagram account.
But according to ABS-CBN International Sales Division statement, Indonesia is shifting to the digital TV broadcasting and currently, they are having their analog shutdown. ANTV determined that it would be better for viewers to enjoy Mars Ravelo's 'Darna' once the transition to digital television broadcasting has been completed. They will announce the new airing details very soon!
Meanwhile, the Kapamilya network officially announced that the Mars Ravelo's 'Darna' is already down to its last two weeks! Excerpt from their official press release: "As “Mars Ravelo’s Darna” is moving to its final two weeks on air, Darna (Jane de Leon) will have to face “Super Soldiers” simultaneously which was part of Borgo’s (Richard Quan) plan to kill the super heroine."
'Darna' starring Jane De Leon started airing on Kapamilya network (A2Z, Kapamilya Channel, Cinemo, TV5)'s Primetime block last August 15, 2022 replacing Coco Martin's 'FPJ's Ang Probinsyano.' Since then, the series received different feedback (mostly negative) from the viewers and netizens bashing the fantasy series.
It is also said that Coco Martin will reclaim Darna's timeslot via his upcoming action-comedy-drama primetime series 'FPJ's Batang Quiapo' pairing him to FPJ's daughter Lovi Poe. 01/29/2023 (TV Series Craze)
