An Afternoon Filled with Fun, Laughter, and 'Kiyeme' with 'Kimmy Dora!'

Star Cinema and Spring Films bring back the successful box-office comedy movie of 2009. The previous blockbuster hit "Kimmy Dora: Kambal sa Kiyeme" returns on the big screen now called as "Kimmy Dora and the Temple of Kiyeme." This time, it is not solely comedy. It has a mixture of horror and suspense!

Inline with its showing, three of the main persons behind the said movie graced the bloggers in an event full of fun, laughter, and tears (of joy)! The movie director Bb. Joyce Bernal, the movie writer Chris Martinez, and "Kimmy Dora" herself Ms. Eugene Domingo mingled with us.

The three gamely answered our questions with humor. They were talking and sharing experiences with us the way how barkadas share cool stuffs with friends.

Eugene started by giving us a glimpse on how this second movie was conceptualized. At first, they planned to show teaser of this movie sequel during the 2011 MMFF. But it didn't came to life since taping were not yet even done due to hectic schedules! They planned to shoot the movie on January then was moved to February until ended up in March.

Since the three of them were all fresh from horror movies - Bb. Joyce from "Segunda Mano" while Eugene and Chris from "Shake, Rattle, and Roll," the Part 2 of "Kimmy Dora" then came out with a touch of horror and suspense! Bb. Joyce laughably shared that the "pagiging sinto-sinto" of Dora was more triggered as she saw ghost in the story!

The discussion became more fun and lively as more topics were discussed at the same time, the trio answered with humor and without 'kiyeme'!

Here are some of the unforgettable moments during the "Kimmy Dora" Meetup. Let these pictures speak for you:

When asked if who between Kimmy and Dora Eugene preferred to be, Uge promptly answered, "I want to be Dora!" According to her, she wants the simple life of Dora - humble and kind, always happy as long as she gets to eat and plays with her cute dog milky. She imagined how the world would become if all the people were like Dora! But she praised how intellectual Kimmy is. She has a good career wrap with elegant clothes.

Contrary to Uge, Bb. Joyce opposed saying on her part, she prefer Kimmy than Dora! Laughter then filled the airwaves!

In terms of the leading men, Uge was teased about her kissing scenes with Zanjoe Marudo and Dingdong Dantes. According to her, these kissing scenes were some of the things to watch out in the movie. She was even asked if who will be her prefer next leading man in her upcoming projects. She promptly replied, "kung sino ang pwede...kung sino ang available, pasok!" Laughter once more filled the air.

Meanwhile Chris revealed that the snow scenes were not originally part of the story. "If you look at the script, there is no word saying S-N-O-W," the writer implied to the cast. But Uge and company insisted to have snows in the movie!

Uge who was just recently hailed as the Asia's Best Actress was very thankful to all the blessings she had received this year. After "Kimmy Dora," she is set to reprise a role portrayed by the superstar Ms. Nora Aunor in PETA's remake of Bona. She will also star in another musical stage play "I Do Bidoo Bidoo" with Ogie Alcasid, ZsaZsa Padilla and Gary Valenciano reliving the classical hits of Apo Hiking Society.

"Kimmy Dora and the Temple of Kiyeme" is currently hitting the different cinemas nationwide. A very successful red carpet premiere night took place on the day of Independence, June 12 at the Trinoma Mall which was delegated by more than 30 stars.

Congrats to Uge, Chris, Bb. Joyce, and to rest of the stars and staffs for this another victorious movie! Keep it up!(
