The long wait is over! Finally, the much anticipated movie of 2023 and the sequel to the 2022's highest grossing film 'Maid in Malacañang,' the 'Martyr Or Murderer' will hit the cinemas nationwide starting this March 1, 2023.
And inline with the release of the movie, the first grand media conference of 'Martyr Or Murderer' was held, Thursday night of February 9, 2023 at The Podium in Ortigas. Prior to the actual mediacon, the official full trailer of the movie was shown first to the media and press people before it was launched in the different social media platforms. The cast members namely Cesar Montano, Ruffa Gutierrez, Diego Loyzaga, Franki Russell, Kyle Velino, Beverly Salviejo, and Cristine Reyes were in their respective characters as they graced the red carpet of the mediacon. The captain of the ship, the movie director Darryl Yap joined them in the movie's first prestige event.
During the actual Q&A, the cast members and director answered exciting and intriguing questions from the media. These include the challenges the cast encountered while filming the movie, the reactions they got from the actual personalities they portrayed like from Senator Imee Marcos and President Bongbong Marcos, the process of choosing the additional characters in the movie, a love scene between Imelda and Ferdinand Marcos Sr., and the real 'martyr' or 'murderer' in the movie!

The movie director Darryl Yap also expressed his gratitude for the hype and enumerated the numbers of the reactions and shares that the poster of the movie received in just 2 days - nearly 200,000 accumulated reactions on all postings across mainstream media, 54,000 reactions on Vincentiments official pages, 17,000 shares, and 6,400 uploads on personal accounts and pages.
Talking about the cast, Cristine Reyes, Cesar Montano, Ruffa Gutierrez, , Diego Loyzaga, and Ella Cruz reprise their roles as Imee Marcos, Ferdinand Marcos, Imelda Marcos, Bongbong Marcos and Irene Marcos.
Adding more spice to the powerful cast are the additional members namely Isko Moreno who will play as the Senator Ninoy Aquino, Jerome Ponce who will play as the young Ninoy, Marco Gumabao as the young President Ferdinand Marcos Sr., and Cindy Miranda as the young Imelda Marcos. But what created more impact during the release of the official trailer on the mediacon is Ms. Eula Valdes' appearance as the current Senator Imee Marcos.
On the other hand, the former PBB housemate and Vivamax actress Franki Russell is also additional cast member who will play as the ex-girlfriend of Bongbong Marcos together with co-Vivamax star Rose Van Ginkel who will play as Maricar, Imee’s confidante during her stay in Morocco.
Meanwhile, Kyle Velino retains his character as Greggy Araneta, the husband of Irene Marcos. Their wedding in the movie is truly a must-see!
On the other hand, veterans actresses Elizabeth Oropesa and Beverly Salviejo will still play as the remaining maids of the Marcos Family.
