Fans of Japanese entertainment in the Philippines will now be able to watch Animax and GEM on more screens. Although we can all agree that jamming out to music in the car or enjoying a stand up comic through headphones can be excellent: nothing competes with live entertainment.  We react stronger to it.  From how music seems to hit harder, with drums that we can feel in our chest- to getting to laugh and cheer with other people in the audience that you don't know: it's different from anything else.  If you're new to an area or new to live entertainment, it may seem hard to find a show.

Instead of hoping a band’s concert poster will blow into your yard, here are the top places to enjoy live entertainment!


 
Local Bars
 

This option requires a little research first to ensure you're not just going into a building packed with drunk people.  Instead, check out the local bars to see if they mention their online presence that they're hosting any performers.  Between Thursday and Saturday night, many bars will host a couple of bands to entertain patrons.  IF you don't want to sit in a crowded room full of drunk people, there are other options: this choice is just the easiest to attend!

Comedy Clubs 

Comedy clubs are the lifeblood of some cities’ nightlives.  Pay a door cover fee, or reach a drink requirement, and enjoy the comedic stylings of those in your area.  Although you can't guarantee that you'll find a great comedian, most of these clubs host several entertainers in a night- so you're bound to find at least one that you like!  Don't be afraid to get to know the other patrons, and settle in for a night of laughs!

Check Websites Like Craigslist and Twitter 

Although Craigslist is more for buying and selling things people don’t feel like listing on eBay, it also has a thriving place in the party and entertainment sphere.  You can use Craigslist and Twitter to look for bands, comedians, and other performers advertising upcoming gigs- and possibly buy tickets to the event.  You should be careful, though, and google a band or do some research before attending any event.  If not, you might be the only guest who shows up, and that could be awkward.

Music On The Lawn 

The moment summer heat sets in, every city with a population larger than thirty thousand starts hosting live music in its public parks.  Go to your city, or county, events site and look for upcoming public concerts.  These performances are a fantastic way to learn more about local artists and possibly find a new favorite band!

Host Your Event 

If none of these fun locations are places that you’d want to go: there’s always the idea that you could host an event on your own!  Figure out a venue, look into booking entertainment that matches what you want, and put it out there that this is happening!  It’s a good idea to let people know at least a month ahead so that they can make plans, but don’t spam and bother everyone for that whole month: let the show speak for itself. 03/31/2021 (TV Series Craze)

The young actress, who is also into singing and figure skating, is a member of Star Magic. Arabella has appeared in the ABS-CBN series, Wild Little Love.

While she appeared in some commercials in the past, according to Del Rosario, this is the first time she will be launched as brand ambassador of a reputable skin care brand such as Orabella.

Ever since a kid, I know that taking care of my skin should be a priority.  The aspiring singer-songwriter started her career by posting snippets of her music on the platform!

18-year old Angela Rojas is one of the most promising young talents seen on TikTok today. Known online as Angela Ken, this TikTok success story started out the same way many musicians on the platform do, posting covers and snippets of her original compositions. 

 
From a young age, Angela was already musically inclined. She even wrote her first composition, a worship song, at the age of 12. But when she first started using TikTok, Angela didn't think that she would actually start sharing her talents with others on the platform. "Last year, I started making song covers and dances on TikTok just for fun. Until I uploaded one of my originals on TikTok last September, and I didn’t expect all the blessings that will shower upon me," Angela says.

The original song that she posted is a track called "Ako Naman Muna", which roughly translates to This Time I Come First, an alluring and relatable tune about self-love. Though she only shared a preview of this composition on TikTok, it quickly went viral on the app. Resonating with a multitude of audiences, it was eventually shared on other social media platforms as well.

According to Angela, she was at a low point in her life when she wrote the song, and was even in tears while writing the first verse. "The story behind 'Ako Naman Muna' is very personal and special to me," she shares. "I felt unproductive, uncertain and lost because I can’t do the things I used to do, I can’t meet some of the people who makes me happy, I can’t go to the places I want to go. I felt stuck, and sadness pulled me down. That was why the first verse was that deep and relatable to reality. Until one night, I posted it and I never expected it to go viral. All I wanted was to let that song go and not finish it anymore. But I saw a lot of people feel the same way [as I did], and I don’t want that. I got inspired to make the chorus full of hope and give light to those who are in darkness."

 
"Ako Naman Muna" is such a powerful song, that it eventually reached the radar of ABS-CBN's Star Music. Angela is now a Star Magic talent,recording artist under ABS-CBN MUSIC and will soon be seen in projects and shows under Dreamscape Entertainment. She is also slated to appear as one of the new-breed singers on the musical variety show, ASAP. For Angela, getting her start on TikTok is a fulfillment of a lifelong dream, as it led the way for her to join ABS-CBN. She shares, "Ever since I was a kid, one of my dreams is to become a well known singer. I love singing because it helps me express how I feel in a unique way."

 "Serving Fresh the Hottest Trends in Entertainment and Beyond TV Series..."  

This is actually the motto of this blog which evolves through time, for 12 solid years now.  Yes, I'm happy to announce that this blog, one my my very first blogs with an entertainment niche is celebrating its 12TH Year Anniversary this coming April 2021.  And yes, I'm proud to say that this blog, my very own TV Series Craze is one of the very first entertainment blog sites in the blogging community that remains strong and until now, still standing  and continuously gaining fame and recognition from the different entities.  OK without further ado, let me share with you a quick success story of this entertainment blog - my humble beginning as a blogger and how I grow as a successful influencer not only in the field of blogging but also in the world of vlogging and social media!

I, known now as Rocky or Runner Rocky started as a blogger in March 15, 2008 writing my personal blog as Bits of Rocks. And since I love to watch different TV series and teleseryes back then, I started to create another blog which tackles mostly about TV series. Hence in April 19, 2009, this blog TV Series Craze was born! And on the same date, my very first article in this blog which is about the PH adaptation of the hit Koreanovela or KDrama which is "Only You" starring Angel Locsin, Diether Ocampo, and Sam Milby was published!  

I continue to write and publish different articles about TV series both the currently airing and the past TV series that I've watched. I provide updates to my readers about the trending series, what to look forward on the next chapters, important and exciting facts about the series, and the highlights and spotlights about the stars, celebrities, and personalities in their favorite TV series. On the same year in 2009, I even made my page more exciting and more captivating. I even designed the first logo and banner of this blog making it more appealing to the readers and netizens. Until this blog gained and received more and more viewers and followers!

The growth of this blog continues in 2010. It dominates more hearts and more territories. I even redesigned its logo and banner artwork capturing more attentions and interests. Until I launched my very first TV Series Craze Awards before the 2010 year end. The said award, my very own award keep on growing and growing and was well-recognized not only by the stars and celebrities plus their followers but of the country's giant networks! It was even featured on national TV in 2016  which further proves its dominance!  Below are two of the video clips that feature the TV Series Craze Awards in the national television by one of the giant networks in the country:  


Because of the fame and popularity gained by TV Series Craze. I started to receive invites from the different TV networks, well-known brands, and top of the line PR firms in 2012 to attend their presscons, media conferences, blogcons, premiere nights, product launches, and premiere nights! I even got the chance to meet, interview and interact with the different celebrities and personalities both local and international.

The growth and success of TV Series Craze continues. It even got its own domain in 2015. The blog page design and logo further develop and improve! The topics the blog cover also expand and not only limited to TV series but also in the different forms of entertainment! The other blog sites which also started the same year with TV Series Craze were not anymore exist! 

In January 2019, the 10TH year of this blog also launched the official YouTube Channel of TV Series Craze. Up to now, the said channel continues to grow and gain more and more followers!

Yes, the original Dao Ming Si who is Jerry Yan in the 2003 Taiwan version and the new generation's San Cai who is Shen Yue in the 2018 version of "Meteor Garden" lead the said series playing the characters of  Lu Xing Cheng and Tong Xiao You respectively! 

The story revolves around the fashion industry. A legend in the world of fashion, Lu Xing Cheng (Jerry Yan) is known for his discerning eye, impeccable taste, and unbelievable luck. He’s also known for his sharp tongue and puffed up personality but when anything he works on becomes an instant success, he’s entitled to a certain number of airs. The story of "LOVE OR MONEY" revolves around ex-lovers, Leon (Coco Martin) and Angel (Angelica), who cross paths in Dubai three years later after they spent one magical night together that ended with a proposal.  But the following day, Angel left Leon without any word.
 
When they meet again in Dubai where Leon works as a waiter, he finds out that Angel is determined to do anything to realize her dreams and ambitions. As Angel helps Leon figure out his way into the city, Leon sweeps her off her feet again. But will love be enough the second time around?
 
The Magic of Dubai

In an interview with ABS-CBN, Coco said he has been to Dubai three times. "I always look forward to coming to this city," he said. "It's beautiful. There is always something new.  Something is always being built. The architecture continuously evolves."
 
The film was shot before the COVID pandemic. Coco shared his observations about Filipinos in Dubai, a destination city in United Arab Emirates known for luxury shopping, ultramodern architecture, and a lively nightlife.
 
"There are so many Filipinos living in Dubai, and they are competitive, professional, proud of their work and happy with their jobs," Coco said. "Maayos sila doon. (Their situation is good over there). I learned a lot from them. But you also feel a sense of sadness as they don't have their families with them." 

 
Coco added that he completely understood where his character Leon is coming from. "Before, I was one of the many Filipinos who dreamt of working abroad. Our mentality is working abroad is the solution to hardships in our country. The character of Leon was me in my younger years. My character is a waiter and I worked as a waiter before in restaurants and hotels.  I also worked as a janitor.  But in doing the role, I had to study the location as overseas Filipinos in Canada, America, Italy and here in UAE are different because they live in different environments and cultures."
 
This was echoed by his co-star, Angelica, who said that playing the role of Angel was a challenge. "It's a responsibility," she said in an interview with ABS-CBN. "When you're playing a role that represents your kababayan abroad, you have to be accurate. You have to make sure that they can truly relate to what they're seeing. That when they watch it, they'll say, 'oo, ganyan talaga kami (that's really how we are)'".
 
Angelica said that she enjoyed finally working with Coco where she got to know him better as a person.  Coco, on the other hand, said that when you mention "Angelica Panganiban", you know it's going to be a good project.  And that Star Cinema didn't make a mistake with "LOVE OR MONEY".
 
"Sulit na sulit ito (this is worth your money)," said Coco. When asked if he will choose love or money, "Before money, but today love," Coco said with a big laugh.
 
Joining Coco and Angelica in "LOVE OR MONEY" are Gelli De Belen, Ketchup Eusebio, Cai Cortez, Matet De Leon, Dante Rivero, Teresa Loyzaga, Norm McLeod, Pinky Amador, Cheska Inigo and Rose Artist Studio's Jeremiah Lisbo.

GMA-7 Network launches 'GMA Now,' an innovating digital TV viewing with online interactivity on-the-go!

Philippine media giant GMA Network is innovating Filipinos’ TV viewing experience anew as it officially unveils its mobile digital terrestrial television (DTT) receiver ‘GMA Now’ – a plug-and-play dongle that allows users to watch TV on the go for free and enjoy exclusive interactive features.


 
“As the country’s leading broadcast network, it is only fitting that we continue to improve our content and innovate our digital TV products. This is our way of expressing gratitude to our loyal Kapuso for their unceasing support. We are proud to say that GMA Now is the first mobile DTT receiver to combine traditional TV with the advantages of interactivity via the internet. This product was developed by our digital media and technology arm GMA New Media, Inc. with the Filipino viewers in mind as we adapt to their evolving needs and interests,” shared by GMA Network, Inc. GMA Now enables Android smartphones to receive clear and live digital TV broadcast of the Kapuso channels GMA, GMA News TV, Heart of Asia, Hallypop, and soon, DepEd TV, as well as other free-to-air channels available in their area.

Aside from this, the Kapuso Network’s newest digital TV product also has the following bonus interactive features that GMA Now users can get to enjoy while connected to the internet.

Through the GMA Videos-On-Demand  tab, GMA Now users can likewise get access to exclusive Kapuso content whenever they want.

Beginning February 6, Kapuso viewers are in for a treat as everyday people take on the challenge of a lifetime with show-stopping performances in an attempt to be hailed as a great pretender on GMA Network’s newest reality game show ‘Catch Me Out Philippines.’

Based on the popular UK original and a first in Philippine entertainment, Catch Me Out Philippines follows two amateur contestants who will go through weeks of intensive training with mentors and each with a different performance to master – from aerial silk dance to beatboxing – aiming to trick the viewers and celebrity catchers into believing that they are professional entertainers while performing alongside actual experts. The impostor who manages to dupe the most members of the audience is hailed as winner.



 
Catch Me Out Philippines is headlined by no less than well-loved comedian Jose Manalo who is known for his top-notch hosting skills that can liven up any crowd. Joining him is comedienne-singer Kakai Bautista and Kapuso hunk Derrick Monasterio whose witty banter as Celebrity Spotters, together with ten Celebrity Catchers, is sure to amuse and perhaps confuse the viewers in guessing who among the performers is the amateur.

Jose entices viewers on what to look forward to in this exciting new offering of Kapuso Network, “Isa sa aabangan nila ‘yung routine naming tatlo, kung gaano kami ka-relax sa isa’t isa. Sa GMA rin, thank you, kasi maganda ‘yung pagkaka-mix noong mga tao na pinili nila. Napakagaan katrabaho. At the same time, pag-iisipin ka talaga as a viewer. Ang ipinapakita rito sa show ay may mga tao pala na kayang turuan. ‘Yung parang akala nila hindi ko kaya, kaya ko naman pala, na kapag sumayaw ako parang propesyonal na. Sabi ko nga, galing na ako sa maraming auditions at kapag sinalang ko nakikita kong may mali pa rin. Dito, halatang nanggaling sila sa napakalupit na training para gumalaw sila na kagaya noong mga kasabay nilang propesyonal.”

Kakai, in turn, expresses her excitement upon being chosen as part of Catch Me Out Philippines, “Noong nalaman ko ‘yung role, na-excite talaga ako. Kasi kaming mga komedyante, people don’t get to see our other side. ‘Yung marunong din sila, hindi lang sila nagpapatawa. Na-excite ako na I will get the chance to state my opinion about something that I really love, which is entertainment, like insights ko sa performances. I’ve been in theater for 20 years now and in showbiz, nabigyan talaga ako ng chance. I’m very grateful that people will see a different side of me, hindi lang makulit, but may say rin sa mga bagay specially sa mundo ng entertainment and that excites me every taping.”

Meanwhile, Derrick recounts how he relates to the show, “Actually, mare-relate ko ang Catch Me Out sa life ko in the sense na I was an amateur before and then I trained with one of the most prestigious choirs in the world. Na-train ako sa kung anong kaya kong gawin ngayon. Before I entered showbiz, noong nasa choir pa ako, pumupunta kami sa iba’t ibang bahay para kumanta at mag-entertain ng tao. ‘Yun ‘yung similarity ng humble beginnings ko with the show.”

With its gallery flush design, the LG GX65 can fit perfectly with any interior, even looking like a piece of art itself. Supplying the immersive audio for this room is the LG XBoom Go PL5. What separates this from regular Bluetooth speakers is that LG’s XBoom PL series uses British Meridian technology, which is one of the most influential audio technology pioneers in the world. The XBoom PL5 is portable and can be placed anywhere. With its long 20 hour battery life, you can bring it with you anywhere you see fit. An LG monitor is also here for quick video conferences and work related activities. The 27UL850 4K UHD IPS LED Monitor has 4k resolution and an IPS panel. This IPS panels is characterized as having the best color and viewing angles perfect for content creators.

As they move to the entertainment room, they will see the LG 75” 8K NanoCell TV, which uses nanoparticles to deliver pure, true color. With its Nano accuracy combined with its wide viewing angle, colors are not compromised when viewed within 180 degrees. The speakers used for the entertainment room is the LG Sound Bar SN6Y. It has both Dolby Atmos and DTS Virtual:X which provides powerful and more realistic audio entertainment, and immersive surround sound. High resolution audio and AI Sound Pro all combine for a premium home theater experience. When it’s time for work, the LG UltraWide 34WL85C takes center stage. It’s a 34-inch IPS curved monitor, with WQHD resolution and a 21:9 aspect ratio. The 21:9 aspect ratio feature on a 34” screen means that you can have the screen space of two monitors without needing to take up as much table space. The arc based design leaves you with space for your notes and other work supplies.



As the segment moves into the kitchen, the popular LG Instaview Door-in-Door Refrigerator makes an appearance.
