We know her from being sweet and fashionista. We admire her acting stints in heavy drama as proven by her remarkable teleseryes like "Villa Quintana," "Legally Blind," and "Dragon Lady." But in her upcoming movie, are you ready to see her as a young action star?!

Kapuso leading lady Janine Gutierrez will do action stunts and will hold a gun fiercer in the upcoming Indie movie, "Babae at Baril." The said film under the direction of Ms. Rae Red is an official movie entry to QCinema International Film Festival's Asian Next Wave Competition.

During Janine and Direk Rae' exclusive mediacon for the said movie held at The Aristocrat in Quezon City Memorial Circle on October 14, 2019, more revelations behind the movie were tackled.

First, it was revealed that Janine cannot get angry easily. She relate much on her character in the movie as a saleslady who needs to smile always. She compared her role to her actual status as a celebrity who needs to be more accommodating to people.

Second, Janine also shared that she didn't know how to use a gun and she didn't want to own one ever if it's provided. Third, just like the other girls, Janine also experienced some kind of light harassment which made her angry.

Fourth, did you know that Janine dreams to have a movie like "OTJ" starring her real life boyfriend Rayver Cruz? And if they will do a movie together, she wants an action movie!

Aside from "Babae at Baril,"  Janine also shared her experience in her recent New York Fashion Week

Well if you want to hear the full stories during the mediacon, here is the playlist of our full video coverage. Let's all watch this:

As you've watched from the videos, are you ready to watch Janine and Rayver together in one project?! How about if Rayver is the producer of Janine's movie?

And as discussed in the mediacon, are you convinced that "Babae at Baril" is not the imitation of the foreign film  "Joker?"

"Babae at Baril" is set to hit the theaters from  October 13 to 22. After this Indie Film, Janine is set to star with Kapamilya actor Paulo Avelino for a new romcom movie! Congrats Janine for your success both in the teleserye and in movie world! 10/16/2019 (TV Series Craze)

Award-winning TV personality and host Drew Arellano looks forward to continuing his journey as a Kapuso as he renews his commitment to GMA Network in a contract signing event held on Tuesday, October 8.

Present during the signing were GMA Network Chairman and CEO Atty. Felipe L. Gozon, Senior Vice President for News and Public Affairs Marissa L. Flores, First Vice President for Public Affairs Nessa Valdellon, and Asian Artists Agency representative Rowena Salido. Vice President for Corporate Affairs and Communications Angela Javier Cruz, Senior AVP for Public Affairs Neil Gumban, Assistant Vice President for Public Affairs Jaileen Jimeno, Biyahe ni Drew Program Manager Karen Lumbo, and AHA! Program Manager Mildred Ablanque-Irum were also present.

Atty. Gozon only had good things to say about the AHA! and Biyahe ni Drew host who has been a loyal Kapuso for 14 years.

“Yung andito siya sa atin for 14 years is well-appreciated. Isa siya sa magagaling nating talents sa Public Affairs. At tayo naman ay talagang galak na galak na pinili na naman niyang manatili sa ating istasyon,” Gozon said.

Drew shared that working with the Kapuso Network does not feel like a job. “You know what they say. If you love your job, it doesn’t seem like a job. I get to travel with the entire Biyahe ni Drew crew or make kids learn through AHA!,” he said.

During the contract signing and the media interview that followed, both Biyahe ni Drew and AHA! teams were in full attendance to show their support to the Kapuso host.  Drew, on the other hand, expressed his gratitude to his GMA Public Affairs family by giving credit to the production teams for the success of his programs throughout the years.

“I think anyone can produce a travel show but not everyone can have my team. Our chemistry is pretty solid that's why we are very efficient with our work. It’s a fine group of people that you will be happy with for 14 years and will probably be happy for another 14 years,” Drew said.

He also revealed that it was actually in GMA 7 that he met his wife—Iya Villania-Arellano—after working with her in the youth-oriented show Click. Fourteen years later, not only is Drew still a loyal Kapuso, he and Iya are now parents to 3-year-old Primo and 1-year-old Leon. But even before getting married, Drew says he knew he wanted to be a good father. To accomplish this, he scaled down his work to three times a week. Today, instead of going out with friends, he says he’d rather spend quality time with his wife and children.

Aside from Click, Drew was also part of the longest running morning show Unang Hirit. In 2005, Drew hosted QTV’s travel show Balikbayan which later had an offshoot program Weekend Getaway on GMA News TV.

Five years later, he further showcased his versatility in hosting via AHA!, a GMA Public Affairs’ award-winning info-tainment show.

“For AHA!, it’s not just about learning. It’s about having fun while learning and I think that is the most effective tool so that your kids will learn. Our goal is to be an edu-tainment type—educational at the same time, entertaining. That’s what we’ve been doing for the past 10 years,” Drew said.

Watch our exclusive video interview with Drew during his MediaCon below:

With the tagline, “Ang happy place ng mga batang smart,” AHA! explores the science and technology behind everyday things, experiences, and viral activities through the help of credible experts. It makes sure that viewers will find fun in learning through entertaining treatments, language and exciting animations.

Over the years, AHA! has ventured into full length live animation segments. After the production of its AHA! Animation Originals special episode in 2017, it regularly produced animation segments such as the #KuwentongAHAmazing, a full-length animation of Pinoy stories being told by top Kapuso personalities including Ms. Jessica Soho, Bianca Umali, and Ken Chan. Next year, AHA! will explore more composite media, like stop-motion and 3D animations.

Kapuso viewers have also seen Drew explore islands, jump from the highest cliffs, and eat the most exotic dishes in his travel program Biyahe ni Drew, which began airing on GMA News TV in 2013.

“I feel that we, the Biyahe ni Drew crew, are in a very lucky position. We bring our cameras and get to feature super isolated places and share it to our viewers,” Drew shared.

Aside from featuring beautiful destinations in the Philippines, Biyahe ni Drew has taken viewers to various Asian destinations such as Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Japan, Brunei, Malaysia, and Hong Kong. It also explored Africa namely Kenya, Zimbabwe and Zambia, as well as Israel and Jordan. The show has successfully launched the Biya-Hero and Sustaina-Goals campaign.

Both AHA! and Biyahe ni Drew have established a strong online presence. AHA’s Facebook page is close to hitting 1 million ‘likes’ while Biyahe ni Drew’s has more than 1 million ‘likes’. AHA! and Biyahe ni Drew have also been recognized by various local and international award giving bodies. 10/10/2019 (TV Series Craze)

Beginning October 7, the fiercest and most glamorous rivalry ensues between the wife and the present love as they vie for a spot in the life of one man on GMA Network’s Afternoon Prime series Madrasta.

The original soap introduces the Newest Gem of Drama Arra San Agustin as Audrey, an optimistic nurse and a responsible daughter who tries her luck abroad but gets swindled instead by an illegal recruiter; this unfortunate turn of event steers her into the life of a man whose children she will nurture as her own.

Arra, who takes on her first title role, reveals that she has poured her heart and soul in embodying her character as a madrasta.

“Challenging siya pero sobrang nae-enjoy ko. It’s something new. Ito ‘yung nag-push sa’kin para mas lalo pa akong lumabas sa comfort zone ko. I like how it feels - it’s oddly unsettling kasi siyempre panibagong experience pero masaya siya kasi may bago, hindi nagiging dull ‘yung nae-experience ko. May mga bago akong gustong i-explore,” she said.

Adding color to Audrey’s journey are: Manilyn Reynes as Grace, doting mother of Audrey who is against her daughter’s relationship with a married man; Thea Tolentino as Katharine, ambitious and cunning wife of Sean who only uses the latter to satisfy her lavish lifestyle; Juancho Trivino as Sean, cosmetic surgeon and owner of RejuveNation Aesthetic Clinics who is a loyal husband; Almira Muhlach as Shirley, greedy mother of Katharine who exploits her daughter for her own materialistic goals; Phytos Ramirez as David, Sean’s best friend who secretly fancies Katharine; Kelvin Miranda as Barry, Audrey’s younger brother who fakes his social status so as not to taint his image as a self-proclaimed influencer; Divine as Debbie, Audrey’s close confidant who sticks up for her through ups and downs; Faye Lorenzo as Joan, Audrey’s friend who coaches her about the ins and outs of working in the medical field; and Ms. Gladys Reyes as Elizabeth, strict but caring mother of Sean who at first suspects Audrey’s true intentions for helping her son.

Madrasta also highlights the special participation of Isabelle de Leon as Judy, two-faced friend of Audrey who stole George from her; Ahron Villena as Gian, Katharine’s one great love and the reason for her decision to leave Sean; Anjo Damiles as George, Audrey’s ex-boyfriend who cheated on her.

Audrey (Arra) is a nurse who dreams of working abroad to provide for her struggling family. Determined to lift her family out of poverty, she applies for a working visa in Canada and gets approved. Just as things are looking up for Audrey, she gets deported back home for illegal documents and her world crumbles. In her lowest point, she crosses path with cosmetic surgeon Sean (Juancho) who helps her get back on her feet by hiring her to work in his clinic. Later on, Audrey discovers that Sean’s wife Katharine (Thea) is cheating on him and she eventually leaves him for another man. This time around, Audrey becomes Sean’s rock and romance blossoms between the two. With Katharine gone, Audrey supersedes her as the mother of Sean’s children and earns a special place in his heart. Fate plays cruel tricks when Katharine returns and reclaims her position in the lives of Sean and their children.

Meanwhile, check out the official posters of the cast members all uploaded in our Official Facebook Fanpage below:

Between Katharine and Audrey, who deserves a spot in the life of Sean and his children – is it Katharine his first love and the mother of his kids? Or is it Audrey his true love who willingly took care of his kids when his legal wife left?
