"Precious Hearts Romances Presents" made a very successful comeback on our TV screen this year. And its two new installations specially the latest "Los Bastardos" created a remarkable mark both on TV and online.
"Los Bastardos" is based on the original PHR pocketbook novel "The Cardinal Bastards." The story revolves around Don Roman Cardinal, the original bastard and his five long lost bastards namely Isagani, Joaquin, Matteo, Connor, and Lucas.
In the TV adaptation, the veteran actor Mr. Ronaldo Valdez plays the character of Don Roman Cardinal (with special participation of Geoff Eigenmann as the young Don Roman) while Jake Cuenca plays Isagani, Diego Loyzaga as Joaquin, Marco Gumabao as Matteo, Joshua Colet as Connor, and Albie Casino as Lucas, the sons of Don Roman.
And for this year, "Los Bastardos" bagged our Best Daytime TV Series here in our very own The 9TH TV Series Craze Awards 2018.
Then what makes this teleserye a perfect awardee for this category? Well, the story is unique. Knowing that this is a PHR adaptation, the story doesn't concentrate to a love story. Rather, the story of father's love to his lost sons!
And yes, the twist is unpredictable! Even one of Don Roman's son Joaquin was revealed as not his real son and died on the plane crash. You didn't even know who is the real villain. Will it be Alba (Isabel Rivas), Manding (Lito Pimentel), or Pilar (Pinky Amador)? Or the antagonist can also be Connor?
Viewers were also guesting if Soledad, the wife of Don Roman is alive and who will play the role of the old Soledad. And yes, all of us were waiting if who will replace the role of Diego Loyzaga in story!
