GMA Network received several praises from netizens after it successfully unveiled the 2018 Christmas station ID (SID) “Ipadama ang Puso ng Pasko” last November 18.

The Kapuso Christmas Station ID, which has breached the 1-million mark on YouTube, also gained over 1 million Facebook views in less than 24 hours. #PusoNgPasko was likewise a top trending hashtag on Twitter and the Christmas SID proceeded to be the number one trending video on YouTube for almost 24 hours.




Viewers from different online platforms expressed their appreciation to the Kapuso Network for the inspiring message that anyone, no matter the circumstance in life, has the ability to also touch lives in a positive way.

On Facebook, Dennis P Abrigo said “[Ang] sarap sa pakiramdam kapag yung maliliit na tao at simpleng empleyado ay nabibigyan nila ng pansin at halaga tulad namin na mga gwardiya na mababa ang tingin sa amin ng ibang mga tao, kaya sobrang saya kapag naa-appreciate nila yung ginagawa namin, mas lalo kaming na-iinspire at mas lalo pang pagbutihin ang aming mga trabaho. Salute to Kapuso. Thank you.”

Facebook user Juliano Betalia also said “Ang pasko ay hindi lang sa pamilya kundi sa lahat ng tao sa mundo. Walang pinipili mahirap man o mayaman ang mahalaga maipadama mo ang diwa ng pasko. Kaya I love GMA CSID sobrang ganda, lahat masaya lahat nagbibigayan.”

On YouTube, Rol Dan said “GMA at its finest! They always give a new flavor of their CSID each year, at ramdam mong di nakikipag kumpetensya, gusto lang ipadama ang #PusoNgPasko taon taon.”





“When we say GMA, the first thing that comes to mind is their genuine sincerity to help others. This is their best CSID for me, the message was clearly executed! And the song is quite catchy! Congrats GMA, you did great,” jairinealexa also commented.

Twitter user @dncrkerbs mentioned, “Ang ganda ng CSID ng GMA. Yung beat ang saya nakakaindak. And syempre goosebumps. ‘Sabay-sabay sa buong mundo, ipadama ang puso ng Pasko’ Ang ganda ng linyang to. #PusoNgPasko nice one @gmanetwork!”

More than the presence of the Kapuso celebrities, the Christmas campaign featured the Network’s heart for genuine public service via GMA Kapuso Foundation and Kapwa Ko Mahal Ko, as well as its collaboration with various organizations.

Blue Ant Entertainment has shown strong gains and big leap in numbers in the digital space from August to October based on the channel’s Facebook demographics data. The channel’s Facebook page has been getting over 10 million video views and an average of 5 million organic post engagements monthly.

Blue Ant Entertainment’s Facebook page contains updates and teasers of its tentpole programs, such as FBI, Charmed, The X Factor UK, The Late Late Show with James Corden, as well as topics and trivia that generate human interest. Its followers also increased by 11% from August 2018, and have been getting an average of over 25,000 new followers every month.

The X Factor UK video clips proved to be one of the favorites in the Philippine market and have been getting the most views and shares by fans.

Overall, the channel’s Facebook page have approximately reached 75.6 million minutes viewed, with an average of 64.5 % increase in its views from August to October 2018.

Number three on Pay TV

Blue Ant Entertainment has also shown good progress and development in the Pay TV segment in the Philippines. The channel has climbed to the number three position in October 2018 among other 
general entertainment (GE) cable TV channels in the Philippines based on the data released by Kantar 


Media Research Philippines.

The GE channel has significantly shown an increase in viewership during primetime, between 6:00PM to 1:00 AM, on both weekdays and weekends. Placing sixth in August, and fifth in September, the channel’s increase in ranking is attributed to the huge gains in key groups month after month. The channel have tapped a wide range of age group, and appeals highly in the female category.

In August, Blue Ant Entertainment’s audience profile ranges from ages 25 –64, skewing towards female. Both September and October data show the channel’s audience profile skews towards the age group of 45-64 years old, majority being female.

The top performing programs on the channel from August to October 2018 include Entertainment Tonight, First Dates, America’s Funniest Home Videos, and BAM Blockbuster movies among others.

The channel has also climbed 16 spots in October from its position in August among all Pay TV channels in the Philippines.

Ranking third among other GE cable TV channels, including a growing influence in the digital space, Blue Ant Entertainment has overtaken the lead of other well-established channels including Warner TV, Diva Universal, and FOX channels.

Wish Ko Lang, now on its 16th year, is one of the longest running legacy programs of GMA News and Public Affairs.

Host Vicky Morales takes pride that the program has changed the lives of hundreds of Filipinos --- from ordinary people with special conditions, victims of abuse and poverty, and even celebrities. 


“Imagine 16 years ago, dumarating sa amin ang kahun-kahon ng sulat. Ngayon, email na., Facebook messages, mga Instagram. Ang daming nagbago over the past 16 years but what will never go out of style is spreading kindness and that’s what the show wants to do.”

The program has  gained numerous recognitions. In 2018 alone, Morales was awarded the Best Public Service Program Host at the 32nd PMPC Star Awards and the Pinakamagiting na Personalidad ng Public Service Program at the 6th Kagitingan Awards for Television while the program was awarded the Pinakamagiting na Public Service Program.

Wish Ko Lang was also awarded  the 2018 Best Public Service Program of the Year  at the 5th Umalokojuan Media Awards and at the  9th Northwestern Samar State University Student’s Choice Awards  for Radio and TV.

The program now intends to make each episode stronger and more inspiring. There are bigger surprises for its viewers. Just this month, Wish Ko Lang gave a new house as an early Christmas gift to three orphaned brothers. In one of its upcoming episodes, another house will be given to a deserving individual or family.

For its upcoming December episodes, the program will star award-winning celebrities topbilled by Manilyn Reynes, Ruru Madrid, Kyline Alcantara and Rayver Cruz who will give life to beautiful stories that will continue to touch our hearts.
