How Ruru Madrid Overcome his Fear of Dogs

"Meron kaming scene sa pilot na kailangan ako dilaan ni Serena dito [sa leeg], as in hindi ko kinaya. As in muntikan na ako himatayin."

This how the Kapuso young actor Ruru Madrid expressed his feelings the first time he worked with the lead dog Serena in their upcoming Primetime TV series "Sherlock Jr." Yes, Ruru has a fear of dogs! But he needs to overcome this in order to portray his character as Jack in the said teleserye.

Then how did Ruru overcome this kind of fear?

The actor shared that at first, he was so afraid. But during their taping, he slowly overcome this fear when he works closely with the dog Siri who is portraying the character of the wonder dog Serena.

"Feeling ko after nitong show na ito talagang iiyak ako 'pag hindi ko na makakasama si Siri," Ruru revealed.

Ruru's onscreen partner Gabbi Garcia was so happy seeing him overcoming his fear. "Pero okay po 'yun, I mean ang ganda kasi na-overcome niya. And ngayon nakikita kong nage-enjoy na siya sa company ng dog," Gabbi added.

"Sherlock Jr." is GMA-7's second TV series offering (after "The One That Got Away") this 2018. This is all about the story of Jack (Ruru) with a golden retriever dog Serena (Siri). Jack and Serena were partner in crimes.
