GMA-7 pioneers another feel-good teleserye on primetime which emphasizes good family values and shares inspiring story to the viewers. This is "Little Nanay" which combines the great actors of the county from the different generations. Veteran stars namely Bembol Rocco, Eddie Garcia, Christopher De Leon,  and the superstar Ms. Nora Aunor shared acting stints with the younger generations like Mark Herras, Hiro Magallona, Juancho Trivino, Paolo Contis, Chlaui Malayao, Rafa Siquion-Reyna, and Kris Bernal. The other generation of stars namely Keempee De Leon, Sunshine Dizon, and Gladys Reyes also comprised the lead cast members.

Kris Bernal gives a breakthrough performance on this TV series as she plays the lead role of Tinay, a woman with a syndrome called ID - a mental disease wherein a person acts younger than his normal age. As they say, ''isip bata"  in all the aspects of his life.

Watching each episode of this TV series every night, we appreciate the acting of Kris. She deserves a well-round of applause and an acting award portraying the character of Tinay. She already moved from her comfort zone. Her portrayal is really convincing, "parang totoo!" This is actually Kris' most challenging role so far.

Great also to see the veteran stars Nora Aunor, Bembol Rocco, and Eddie Garcia return on the small screen. The superstar Nora and Bembol play Tinay's lolay and loloy. They take good care of Tinay and give unconditional love to their only girl despite her condition. Nora's acting in this series is truly unfaded, "walang kupas noon at ngayon." The acting that we can say "tatak Nora Aunor!" This is also the reunion of Nora and Bembol after the indie film "Thy Womb." Eddie on the other hand is effective in portraying the rich real grandfather of Tinay reminding us of his character before as Pres. Leandro in 2003's GMA hit teleserye "Kung Mawawala Ka."

Christopher De Leon makes a guest appearance in the series playing the lawyer of Archie (Hiro Magallona) who took away Chiechie from Tinay.

The family of Tinay, the Batongbuhay family depicts a typical Filipino family with good moral values. Though they were not that rich, they manage to be happy and live a simple life with love.

Aside from the loving loloy and lolay, Tinay's two elder brothers Mark Herras and Juancho Trivino are also there to protect their 'little' sister. I love the attack of Mark and Juancho on their respective characters. It has a touch of humor and comedy lighting up the story.

Meanwhile, this TV series also paves way to the discovery of GMA's new child star in the person of Chlaui Malayao. In the story, she is Chiechie, the daughter of Tinay and Archie.

My favorite scenes in this teleserye are the song number of Tinay and Chiechie and the cooking scene of Tinay and her brother Bruce (Mark) because these scenes showed the best performance of Kris having an intellectual disorder. I also love the court scenes when the court decided to give the child custody of Chiechie to her father Archie. This was the most dramatic scene I've seen on TV! We truly felt the emotions!

This TV series is truly an inspiring teleserye today. It showcases the unconditional love of mother to her children. Even though the mother has a disorder, still the love she gives to her child is equal to the love a normal mother gives to her child. Such an eye-opener to the society! Kudos GMA-7 for giving us another breakthrough Primetime TV series like this!

Claudia Buenavista is officially back!

In a show-stopping act that only she could pull off, Claudia (Angelica Panganiban) interrupted the wedding of her husband Eduardo (Ian Veneracion) and Amor (Jodi. Sta. Maria) by sobbing at the wedding ceremony just as the couple finished saying their vows (Dec 12).

As shown in last night’s (Dec 12) episode, Nanay Belen (Amy Austria) passed out after Claudia implied that she had amnesia and could not even recognize her Angelo (Daniel Padilla) and Lia (Andrea Brillantes).

Kapamilya viewers nationwide tuned in to the wedding that the episode garnered a national TV rating of 34.9%, or double than that of the rival program on GMA “Because of You” (17.2%), according to data from Kantar Media

As Claudia tries to find her place in her family, she is ready to destroy anyone or anything in order to get her family back. What will now happen to Eduardo and Amor? What does Claudia plan to do to get people to sympathize with her?

Philippine showbiz’s Teen King and Queen Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo recently brought honor to the country after winning accolades in Vietnam's Face of the Year Awards for their performances in the hit series "Got to Believe,” which has captured a massive following in the Southeast Asian nation where the Philippine teleserye aired on TV.

The series proved to be a big hit in Vietnam after Today TV started airing it on primetime television, every day, from 7 PM to 8 PM. Vietnamese viewers were indeed captivated by the love story of Joaquin and Chichay, as proven by the high ratings the show registers every night.

The phenomenal Kathniel tandem personally received the Best Foreign Actor and Best Foreign Actress awards last Friday during the gala night held in Ho Chi Minh city's Opera House.

Organized by IMC, the parent company of one of Vietnam's largest TV networks Today TV, the "Face of the Year Awards" aims to honor films and artists who had significant contributions to the industry over the past year and are voted by the Vietnamese audience. For their respective categories, Kathryn and Daniel beat actors and actresses from other countries such as India and Thailand.

"Thank you for this opportunity. And to all our supporters here in Vietnam, thank you so much for loving our characters, Joaquin and Chichay, and for loving the show 'Got To Believe.' We love you!" said Kathryn.

“I’d like to thank Today TV. We just feel very humbled, very blessed, and we are very thankful. Maraming salamat,” said Daniel.

Prior to the gala night, Kathryn and Daniel already felt the love from Vietnamnese Kathniel fans when they arrived at the Saigon Airport Friday afternoon. Armed with banners, shirts, posters, and caps, Vietnamese fans chanted "Kathniel," and some even sang the "Got to Believe" theme song.

Fans also flocked to a local mall in Ho Chi Minh last Saturday for Kathryn and Daniel's meet-and-greet, where the two stars gamely posed for photos, signed autographs, and answered questions.

In 2014, "Be Careful with My Heart" was also a phenomenal hit that earned lead stars Richard Yap and Jodi Sta. Maria the same Face of the Year Awards.

"Got to Believe" and "Be Careful With My Heart" are only among the many ABS-CBN dramas that aired in different countries through the efforts of ABS-CBN International Distribution.
ABS-CBN International Distribution has been recognized in the global arena as a reliable foreign content provider. It has been a premier source of high quality Filipino programming in over 50 territories all over the world and has sold over 30,000 hours of content worldwide. Living up to this recognition, ABS-CBN International Distribution commits to add to its line-up of high-caliber programs and movies with cast and storylines that appeal to various cultures. The ultimate comeback of Angelica Panganiban as Madam Claudia Buenavista will happen tonight in the wedding of Eduardo (Ian Veneracion) and Amor Powers (Jodi Sta. Maria) in "Pangako Saýo."

The ABS-CBN blogsite MyChos also posted a similar photo of Angelica in their IG with a short hair:

Now the question goes, will Madam Claudia appeared in the wedding of Amor and Eduardo and she'll stop the wedding?! Can we hear the famous dialogue from Madam tonight saying: "Itigil ang kasal dahil kasal ang lalaking (Eduardo) ýan sa'kin?!"

It's also surprising to see that Madam Claudia and Amor Powers have the same hairstyle today! What's the real plan of Madam in tonight's #PSYHereComesTheWife episode of "Pangako Sa'yo?"

Talking about Angelica's new hairstyle now, this is not the first time that she sported a new look like this. Remember her villain character before (2008) as Scarlet Dela Rea in Claudine Barretto's "Iisa Pa Lamang?!" (TV Series Craze)

ABS-CBN ended 2015 on a high note after the network ruled nationwide ratings from January to December last year (excluding Holy Week) with an average national audience share of 43% versus GMA 7’s 36%, data from Kantar Media says.

ABS-CBN also kept a stronghold of the primetime block whole year round as it scored an average national audience share of 50% compared to rival’s 31%. This means half of the Filipino viewing population in combined urban and rural homes tuned in to the top-caliber programs offered by ABS-CBN on primetime.

The primetime block is the most important part of the day when most Filipinos watch TV and advertisers put a larger chunk of their investment in to reach more consumers effectively.

Kantar Media uses a nationwide panel size of 2,609 urban and rural homes that represent 100% of the total Philippine TV viewing population, while the other ratings data supplier AGB Nielsen reportedly has only 1,980 homes based solely in urban areas that represent only 57% of the Philippine TV viewing population.

Meanwhile, ABS-CBN shows also dominated the top 20 list of most watched programs for 2015, 19 of which were produced by the network.

Topping the list as the most watched program last year is “The Voice Kids” (41.7%) followed by “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” (38.8%), “Nathaniel” (34.6%), “Pangako Sa’Yo” (33.5%), and “MMK” (30.5%).

Having aired for over a month since it premiered last November, “Dance Kids” still managed to land on the sixth spot with an average national TV rating of 30%. It is followed by “Dream Dad” (29.9%), “Your Face Sounds Familiar Season 1” (29.8%), “Forevermore” (29.2%), and ABS-CBN’s flagship news program “TV Patrol” (28.2%) in the tenth spot.

Other programs in the top 20 are “Wansapanataym” (27.9%), “Rated K” (25.2%), “Your Face Sounds Familiar Season 2” (25.1%), “Home Sweetie Home” (24.2%), “The Voice of the Philippines” (23.2%), “Pasion De Amor” (23%), “Bridges of Love” (22.2%), “Goin Bulilit” (21.4%), and “On the Wings of Love” (21.3%).

ABS-CBN also fared better than its competition in other territories such as Balance Luzon (areas in Luzon outside Mega Manila), where it scored a national average audience share of 45% versus GMA’s 36%; in Visayas with 55% versus rival’s 27%; and in Mindanao with 54% versus GMA’s 28%

Kantar Media is a leading television (TV) audience measurement provider with capabilities in gathering TV viewing data in both digital and analog platforms.
