An independent and hardworking man who makes a living by bringing Filipino films to foreign shores, Ted Neri is the man Star Cinema calls to head the international distribution of Star Cinema’s movies.

He’s the managing director and owner of Rainbow Productions. This office is based in Guam, USA which Ted himself has put up and has been in operations for over three decades now. This production house does not only have movies to bring to foreign audience, Neri is also dabbling with other production events that cater to both Pinoy and foreign audience.

Ted Neri with Kristine Hermosa and Anne Curtis

Because he is well-traveled and has a very open mind towards how different viewers receive Filipino films, Neri is always prompt to tell foreign moviegoers why Filipino films are frequently setting either the family or the drama, even at times the romance and comedy that always make a Star Cinema or any Pinoy movie not just an escapist but also an inspiration to Pinoys enywhere in the world. “since we all know na Star Cinema is a brand, mag-rereflect din na under ABS-CBN ito. So there, since ABS-CBN is known worldwide, international or foreign moviegoers will have a slice of what is latest na ino-offer lagi ng Star Cinema.”

“In fact all through the years na nagdi-distribute kami ng Star Cinema movies sa foreign shores, we always get request regarding the next movie na i-re-release naming sa mga ibang bansa. That means our efforts are good.”

So far Ted has already brought and released over a hundred Star Cinema movies in Guam, which is a U.S. territory. “enthusiastic lagi ang response ng Pinoys sa movies natin because they are able to connect to Philippine shores via the movies of Star Cinema.” As we all say if it’s Star Cinema it’s for the family. That makes Ted Neri a Kapamilya by heart. (

Singer-actress Jolina Magdangal is overwhelmed with all the positive feedback and well wishes she has been receiving since her return to ABS-CBN via new drama series "Flordeliza," wherein she will be co-starring with her long-time love team partner, Marvin Agustin.

"I’m so excited and nervous, but in a good way, for everything that will happen next. After 12 years, I'm finally back home," said Jolina, who recently signed a two-year contract with ABS-CBN.

"What really made me come back are the people on- and off-cam whom I missed working with. The first on my list is Direk Wenn Deramas. He was my director in ‘Kung Ikaw Ay Isang Panaginip,’ my last movie under Star Cinema. I was so happy and at ease when I learned that he will be the one to direct ‘Flordeliza.’ I know that I will not have a hard time," explained Jolina, who gained stardom in the 1990s through ABS-CBN shows like “Ang TV,” ”Gimik,” ”Esperanza,” and ”Labs Ko Si Babe.”

But aside from Direk Wenn, Jolina admitted that it is the beautiful story of "Flordeliza" and her tandem with Marvin that made her say yes to the project.

"The viewers will see a different Marvin-Jolina tandem in 'Flordeliza.' Unlike before when people were used to seeing us in romantic comedy shows, now, in ‘Flordeliza,’ they will surely be surprised. It’s something worth watching out for," said Jolina.

Also part of "Flordeliza" are Desiree del Valle and new Kapamilya child stars Rhed Bustamante and Ashley Sarmiento.

"Flordeliza" is set to premiere on ABS-CBN this November.  (
