Arjo Atayde Dreams to be Paired to Kim Chiu and Maja Salvador!

After playing a bida-kontrabida  role in the afternoon action-drama series "Dugong Buhay," actor Arjo Atayde returned in the world of TV series via the newest primetime teleserye "Pure Love." This time, he is paired to Alex Gonzaga and once more, he portrays another villain character.

"Nag-eenjoy po ako sa character ko bilang bida-kontrabida," the actor shared during the bloggers' set visit in "Pure Love." "So far, dito po ako naka-line up. Heto 'ung binigay sa akin na project, so pagbubutihan ko po talaga," he added.

When we asked if to whom of the actors today he sees himself in the future, Arjo quickly said, "still Arjo Atayde. Gusto ko po kase 'ung image ko now as bida-kontrabida e." One of the members of the press who was also present during our set visit commented that he could be the next Christopher De Leon since the veteran actor already proved himself effective both being a bida and a kontrabida!

In the series, Arjo is currently paired to Toni Gonzaga's younger sister Alex. But when I asked if to whom of the other actresses he wants to be paired after Alex, Arjo gave two names. They were Kim Chiu  and Maja Salvador.

"Dream kong makatambal in the future si Kim Chiu! Yeah, she's a great actress and may chemistry kami,"  the actor revealed. "And of course, gusto kong makatambal 'ung kababata ko, si Maja Salvador. Pareho kaming dancer niyan,"  Arjo added.

Meanwhile, Arjo's real-life mother Ms. Sylvia Sanchez joins him in "Pure Love." "This is our first time that we will be working together. Abangan niyo po 'ung character niya sa story," the actor said.

Here is a video clip of Arjo during our set visit:

When asked if what is his reaction to his mother having a love team in "Be Caraful with My Heart," the actor laughingly said, "Kinikilig ako! Masaya ako para sa kanya!"

"Pure Love" is ABS-CBN's Philippine adaptation of the hit koreanovela which aired by the network in 2011 having the original title of "49 Days." Just like the original version, the remake also enjoys a high TV ratings in Primetime which makes the cast very thankful! The said teleserye airs in Primetime Bida weeknights before "TV Patrol."
