2013 MMFF New Wave Films to Have Twin Screening in Two Giant Malls!




The Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced the entries to their New Wave Films category composing of Independent Films, Student Short Films, and Animations during the recently conducted Press Conference held at the Sequioa Hotel, Timog, Quezon City, December 5, 2013.

This year, the Metro Manila Film Festival  (MMFF) New Wave movies will have two simultaneous premiere nights and will be shown in two giant cinemas - SM Megamall and Glorietta 4 Cinemas

MMDA Chairman Atty. Francis Tolentino who is currently the MMFF overall chairman appealed  for public support to the showing of a total of 13 entries for the Full Length , Animation, and Student Short Films categories. For only Php100, viewers may enjoy the said films to be shown from December 19 to December 24.

The following are the entries to the 39TH MMFF-New Wave Section:

Full Length:

1. "Mga Anino ng Kahapon"  - Starring Agot Isidro, TJ Trinidad, Carlo Cruz, and Jay Gonzaga under Aelm Chua Productions.

2. "Island Dreams"  - Starring Louise Delos Reyes and  Alexis Petitprez under Kenau Pictures Production.

3. "Dukit"  - Starring Raquel Villavicencio, Wilfredo Layug, et al under Center Stage Productions.

4. "Maestra"  - Starring Biboy Ramirez and Perla Bautista under Pixel Works Ent. / Scenema Concept Int'l.

5. "Saka Saka" - Starring Ejay Falcon, Baron Geisler,  and Joseph Marco under Cine Bro.


 Animation:

1. "OMG Origin of Mang Jose" - Koji-Kabuto Enterprise

2. "Kaleh and Mbaki"  - Dennis Sebastian

3. "Ang Lalong ni Kulakog"  - Ateneo De Naga University

4. "Gayuma ni Maria"  - Post-Advance Science and Technology Institute, Flash Animayion

5. "Mamang Pulis (Mr. Policeman)" - Hannah Espia

Student Shorts:

1. "#No Filter"  - Luigi Lupe, Mapua Institute of Technology

2. "Hintayin Mo sa Seq. 24" - Jose Lemuel Silvestre, Far Eastern University

3. " Gapos" - Rizchel Anne Miguel, Colegio De San Juan De Letran

 
From each New Wave Category, a Best Picture award will be given to the outstanding film entry with a cash prize of Php300, 000, Php100, 000, and Php50, 000 for the Full Feature, Animation, and Student Short film categories respectively!

There will also be awards for Best Director, Best Actress, and Best Actor in the Full Length category. (www.tvseriescraze.blogspot.com)
