See a comedic version of the recently screened film and Vilma Santos-starrer “Ekstra” this Saturday (August 31), as Jon Santos steps in as Ate Bhe with Vhong Navarro to audition as movie extras when a taping is set to happen in Beverly Gils.

Jon Santos plays the part of Isabel’s (Angel Locsin) aunt, Ate Bhe, who pays a visit to Beverly Gils. Ate Bhe works as an extra for films and television soaps. Almost as if it were perfect timing, a soap opera is set to be taped in Beverly Gils at the time of Ate Bhe’s arrival, and so auditions are to be held for interested residents of Beverly Gils.

Ate Bhe becomes the prime choice for the soap opera’s important scenes. Justin (Vhong Navarro) fares well, too, being chosen to play the son of Ate Bhe.

"LUV U" and "Goin' Bulilit:" What is the So-Called "Meatless Monday?"

The teens of “LUV U” take a day off from meat as the school proclaims a “Meatless Monday”, while the country’s favorite kids of “Goin’ Bulilit” bring us their own versions of usual jobs and the unusual fun that comes with them on Sunday (September 1).

Jairus Aquino’s character Drake of “LUV U” faces a problem with the school’s announcement of a “Meatless Monday”. Unfortunately for Drake, his mom gives him the job of selling ham sandwiches in school to add to their family earnings. Unable to say no, Drake faces two problems—that it’s against the school’s announcement, and that selling sandwiches would make it more obvious that he isn’t from a well-off background. He goes on to sell the sandwiches, and Shirley (Sharlene San Pedro) even helps him out. Will they get caught selling the ham sandwiches on the day that meat isn’t allowed on campus?

In the meantime, the kids of “Goin’ Bulilit” put some fun into shoe and watch repair jobs and key duplicating, bringing gags and sketches revolving around how entertaining such common and yet interesting jobs can be. These will take place along with Aaliyah Belmoro’s “Mutyaya ng Masa” and a musical performance to lighten things up even more.

Thalia wants to go back to the Philippines to see Tunying

Mexican superstar Thalia said that she wishes to go back in the Philippines and see Anthony Taberna, the broadcast journalist she admires.

“I remember the love and I remember all of the beautiful smiles of the Filipinos. Everything was incredibly amazing. I want to go back, and if possible, I want to sit by your side,” Thalia quipped to Tunying during an interview for "Tapatan ni Tunying" via Skype airing this Thursday (August 29).

She previously expressed her desire to guest in any of Tunying’s shows since watching him on ABS-CBN’s “Punto por Punto” last year. Tunying was flattered as he is also a fan of the international superstar.
“At the age of 42, she still looks like 24,” Tunying said.

Thalia became a household name in the Philippines beginning 1996 for starring in various hit Mexican telenovelas such as “Maria Mercedes,” “Marimar,” “Maria la del Barrio,” and “Rosalinda.”
The new “Maria Mercedes” Jessy Mendiola, meanwhile, was fascinated when given a chance to speak to her predecessor.

TV Series Craze once more visited the set of the Kapuso network's most provocative hit Primetime TV Series "My Husband's Lover." We visited the house where Sandra (Glydel Mercado) and her elder daughter Evelyn (Karel Marquez) where living. 

The production team was shooting for the episode wherein Manny (Mike Magat), the womanizer husband of Evelyn return to their family. This was also the scene when Lally (Carla Abellana) live for the meantime with her mother together with her children.

Claudine Barretto Reveals Secrets of Randy Santiago!

 

The saga of the rift between the showbiz couple Claudine Barretto and  Raymart Santiago continues! This time, the name of Raymart's elder brother Randy Santiago was dragged into the issue.

The conflict started between Claudine and Randy started when Randy mentioned in his interview that Raymart don’t have the capability to hurt Claudine and expressed confidence that the truth will prevail.

With this statement, Claudine breaks her silence and expressed her side on the issue. In an interview with the media press last Thursday, August 23, Claudine briefly said that they are bullying her. “Kuya Randy, stop bullying me!” the Optimum Teleserye Star said.  

Aside from that, Claudine gave a blasting statement showing that she was already pissed off with Raymart's brother:

"Hindi na ako papayag. Nabastos na ako noon. Huwag nila ako babastusin. Like what I've said, do not mess with my kids. Do not mess with my children. Huwag niyong gawin sa akin yung ginawa nyo kay Sherilyn Reyes at kay Paoie (ex husband of Jun Jun, brother of Raymart)" Claudine asserts.

"Pyra: Ang Babaeng Apoy" is Thea Tolentino's Granted Wish!

For her first lead role as Pyra, Thea Tolentino will not only be showcasing her talent in acting, but also in singing and playing the guitar. The Ultimate Female Protégé recalled her engagement with both when she was growing up.

Thea learned how to play the guitar in high school due to the influence of her peers. She brought to mind the songs that she used to play, which were mostly J-pop songs, because she was into Japanese pop culture and anime. Unfortunately, due to her current busy schedule, she has not been able to keep tabs on J-pop.

Singing was part of Thea Tolentino’s childhood because their family managed a karaoke business. Her mom worked for her grandfather’s electronics store, and has always brought her along.
