Iza Calzado returns on Primetime and replaces Regine Velasquez in the comedy TV series "I Heart You Pare"! She is now taking the lead role as Tonette/Tonya!Everybody was surprised seeing the new Iza. She is very gay and truly looks like a drag queen! Many appreciate her role being an effective cross-dresser gay!
Regine even revealed that Iza Calzado is her first choice to replace her in the said TV series. Since Regine is now pregnant, her doctor advised her to take a rest so she was pulled out from the teleserye. And she's glad that Iza didn't hesisitate to accept the said role.

Actually "I Heart You Pare" is the reunion TV series of Iza and Dingdong. They were already paired before in the hit fantasy series of GMA-7 called "Encantadia" and "Etheria". They even starred together as a pair in the previous blockbuster movies of GMA Film.

"I Heart You Pare" will be the third TV show wherein Iza play as a gay or a drag queen. She was already seen being gay in the previous shows of the Kapuso network namely "SRO Cinemaserye" and "Obra". But in terms of TV series, this soap is Iza's first comedy!“I have no second thoughts accepting the role when it was offered to me. This is actually my first time to dabble in comedy and I welcome the opportunity to be working with Direk Andoy Ranay for the first time,” Iza shared.
