Two reality talent search programs from Kapamilya and Kapatid stations showcased their different stuffs last weekend. While "Talentadong Pinoy" aired their so-called "Battle of the Champions" grand finale, "Pilipinas Got Talent" on the other hand gave us unexpected surprises.The first one is the unexpected audition of Batangas governor and the real-life mother of "PGT" host Luis Manzano, Ms. Vilma Santos. Gov. Vi impressed the audience and judges by showing her special dance number!
The "Showtime" host and the Rocksteddy vocalist Teddy Corpuz also showcased his talent by giving a rap number!
If "PGT" Season 1 had a singing heartthrob via Mr. Markki Stroem, then "PGT" Season 2 have Jose Emmanuel Cubil and Kevin James Sisco!
The whole country saw the birth of two promising singing heartthrobs— Jose Emmanuel Cubil of Talisay, Cebu (left in the first picture above), and Kevin James Sisco of Quezon City (right in the first picture above)— who managed to get through the next round with their voice and charms. Audiences were truly captivated by the great charm of these two new heartthrobs! Nice!
With these unexpected surprises, "Pilipinas Got Talent" took the No. 1 spot on the weekend nationwide TV rating race. "PGT" rated 29.3% last Saturday versus “Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho” (20.1%) and the grand finals of “Talentadong Pinoy.” (18.4%). "PGT" rated 28%, on the other hand, last Sunday as compared to its rival show “Show Me Da Manny” (12.3%).
