At first, we all thought that it is only a sexy TV series. But as I watched it last 2008, the story as well as the characters were all good! And now, the fruits were now gained!
Just recently, actually last night, news announced that Eva Fonda, a Christine Reyes-starrer series in ABS-CBN's Primetime Bida bagged the Seoul International Drama of 2009 in Korea! Though Christine didn't make it as the Best Actress in the said awards, watching the series from the start to the end, you will really appraise the acting abilities of Christine Reyes in the TV series. She had shown not only as a sexy star, but as a very good actress!
To look back, do you really know where "Eva Fonda" came from? Yup, it is an old movie wherein Ms. Alma Moreno played the original Eva Fonda! Well, that's why you may notice in the series that Alma Moreno was one of the special cast wherein she passed the thrown now to Christine Reyes!Yeah, it is another movie revival made into a TV series by ABS-CBN knowing that the network was the first one who made a very great movie revived into a TV series. Remember the success of "Bituing Walang Ningning"?!
Now, their work was now recognized not only in the Philippines itself but worldwide. More on that, it was really appreciated and was given award by Korea against the other International nominees!
This is only a sign and another great proofs that ABS-CBN is trully a home of the very best TV series! Not only in the Nationwide TV Ratings and appreciation of the TFC viewers, winning an International Awards like this for a particular TV series marked that they were really the great ruler! Not to mention that some of ABS-CBN's TV Series like "Pangako Sa'yo", "Sana'y Wala Nang Wakas", "Kaytagal Kang Hinintay", and "Sana Maulit Muli" were all trade in the other countries and translated with their own language like we do here in the different Asinovelas, Mexiconevelas, and Koreanovelas!Well it then also proves the saying that "do not judge a book by its cover" as we all expect at first that the "Eva Fonda" TV series is only a sexy series showing bodies, sex, and other thing. But as we watch it every night, it proves that it is one of the best that should be watch out! Actually my mother really loves to watch it every night! She's really an avid viewer fanatics of this teleserye last year! What more now that it is awarded by International Award againsts the other entries from the different countries!
Meanwhile Christine Reyes and Jayson Abalos showed a great acting in the series as Eva and Joel, the lover in the story! A very good start for Christine Reyes as a new Kapamilya star! c",)
